Affect on Employer and Employees:

Those who are shifted to this work from home culture will surely like to continue this in the future. This is more economical for both employers and employees. There is a major cut in the expenses of both. The employers have to pay for high building rents, electricity bills, furniture, environment, and administration. These expenses decrease during work form home.
The employees have to pay for daily transport, 2-4 hours daily travel, and meals. Some are living in other cities on rental apartments just because of offices. This work from home culture will surely benefit mentally and financially to them. Employees are spending resources to make their homes comfortable for work. They have more spare time for other healthy activities.

Coworking Spaces

There are fewer chances for coworking spaces to survive. Those who keep working must provide a very different environment for the customers. The environment that prevents people from this deadly virus. Either they form cubicles or spread their seatings to maintain distance.

Future:

Surely, the changes are unavoidable. All offices cannot do work from home but the environment will not remain the same. Offices will use more automatic doors and the lifts will operate by voice systems or app systems. There will be fewer meeting rooms and maybe no kitchens. There will be extensive cleaning in offices to disinfect the virus. At the entrance, there will be Infrared facial temperature checks. People will prefer leather and metal in furniture as they are easy to clean. Offices prefer to use UV lights to disinfect the space like used in hospitals.

Demands for Office Space:

Only the future will tell how the demand for office space will increase or decrease. There is a chance of a decrease in demands for office spaces due to work from the home trends. On the other hand to protect the spread of viruses the requirement of space increases. People will not prefer open congested office environments. So it is earlier to tell you about offices renting less or more spaces.
